When Anxiety Fills Childhood and Adolescence
Hovedbiblioteket, Aarhus · 50 kr. · ≈ 7 €
Children and young people experience anxiety more often than many realize, and it can leave deep marks on everyday life - in relationships, wellbeing, and development. But what actually lies behind it, and how does it arise?
Johanne Jeppesen Lomholt, psychologist and lecturer in clinical child psychology at Aarhus University, delivers a research-based lecture on the subject. She draws on clinical experience and current research to explain how anxiety manifests in children and young people, which factors - including family circumstances - increase the risk, and how the condition can change over time. The lecture also covers different types of anxiety and the research currently investigating early prevention and intervention.
The lecture takes place in Lille sal and is part of Folkeuniversitetet's knowledge festival Hearts & Minds.
