Ceramics at Ungdomsøen

Ungdomsøen's ceramics workshop is a self-directed session where you work with clay at your own pace. You have access to all materials and can ask fellow participants for advice, but there is no formal instruction. In the workshop you can hand-model ceramics, and there are three pottery wheels to share. Remember to wear clothes that can get dirty.

Participation costs 110 kr. per person and includes firing, glazing, and boat transport. On arrival you pay an additional 40 kr. per kg of clay.

This time we travel in a RIB speedboat instead of the ferry. Meet at Magretheholms Harbour, from where we sail together to Ungdomsøen.

We fire the ceramics when we have enough for a full kiln - we do our best, but cannot guarantee that all creations survive the firing. Because the pieces need to dry between shaping and glazing, you cannot complete both steps in one day. It is therefore recommended to sign up for multiple dates. Ungdomsøen may take photos and videos at events for use on the website, social media, and printed materials. If you do not wish to appear in the photos, simply let the photographer know.
