Lecture: A Gentleman's Chivalry - Chivalry from the Middle Ages to Today

What does it mean to be a true gentleman - and where does the idea of chivalry actually come from? Literary historian Valdemar Lenschow takes us through the history of masculinity with a focus on the concepts of chivalry and the gentleman: how are the knight and gentleman figures connected, and what can we use these concepts for in the 21st century?
