Community Care on Christianshavn - Lecture with Kaj Joensen: The Realm Union

Journalist Kaj Joensen gives a lecture on the Faroe Islands and the Realm Union under the title "The Faroe Islands - shaped by people, history and the North Atlantic".

Joensen has worked for many years as a journalist at Kringvarp, the national television and radio station in the Faroe Islands. In 2011 he moved to Denmark with his family, where he ran The Faroese News Bureau - one of the few media outlets that has written in Danish about Faroese affairs. He now works at Christiansborg as secretary general for Sambandsflokkurin. The lecture places current events in the Faroe Islands and the Realm Union in a historical context and explores what it means that we know so little about each other.

The event takes place at Stanleys Gaard, St. Søndervoldstræde 2, 1st floor - there is an elevator to the lecture hall. Participation costs 30 kr., which goes to the Community Care's work, and is paid in cash or by MobilePay on the day.
