Education regularly surfaces in Danish public debate - but is it an ideal genuinely under threat, or mostly a word we use? Emil Skovlykke Carlsen, cand.mag. in philosophy and a full-time high school teacher and lecturer, attempts to get to the heart of the concept: what is education really, is it threatened, and what can we do about it?
Along the way, the lecture draws on thinkers such as N.F.S. Grundtvig and Søren Kierkegaard as well as Jacques Rancière and Slavoj Žižek. No prior knowledge is required - life experience is very welcome.
The lecture is held in collaboration with Vordingborg Folkeuniversitet.
