Charles Dickens' Christmas tale from 1843 centers on Scrooge: on Christmas Eve, he experiences a dream vision that opens his eyes to the joys of Christmas and life. The story remains as relevant today as ever.

Theatre Lampe performs the tale with one actor, shadow play, and newly composed Christmas music inspired by traditional carols and songs. Remember to buy tickets for both children and adults.

About the venue: Støberihallerne - Præstø Bibliotek og Borgerservice

Støberihallerne brings together Præstø's public library, citizen services and local history archive in a former iron foundry dating from 1898 - once the town's largest employer. Realdania By & Byg restored the industrial buildings, with their distinctive sawtooth roof, and the venue opened in February 2026. Alongside the book collection and civic services, it hosts talks, a literature café, children's theatre and repair cafés.
