Tove Ditlevsen's Paths — Støberihallerne - Præstø Bibliotek og Borgerservice, Præstø

Tove Ditlevsen is regarded as one of the greatest language composers in Danish lyric history, and as a prose writer she had a special gift for depicting shifts in mood within and between people.

In this lecture, Lilian Munk Rösing explores the concrete streets and paths in Ditlevsen's life and literary work - and the choices she made to pursue her deepest passion: writing. The lecture is based on Munk Rösing's book "Tove Ditlevsen's Paths" (Gyldendal, 2025), which is both a personal portrait and an account of Ditlevsen's literary artistry.

About the venue: Støberihallerne - Præstø Bibliotek og Borgerservice

Støberihallerne brings together Præstø's public library, citizen services and local history archive in a former iron foundry dating from 1898 - once the town's largest employer. Realdania By & Byg restored the industrial buildings, with their distinctive sawtooth roof, and the venue opened in February 2026. Alongside the book collection and civic services, it hosts talks, a literature café, children's theatre and repair cafés.
