The Nature of Evil — Hovedbiblioteket, Aarhus

Why do seemingly ordinary people commit history's most horrific acts? This question forms the basis for an interdisciplinary conversation about the nature of evil - viewed from the perspectives of psychology, philosophy, and literature.

Henrik Høgh-Olesen, professor of social and personality psychology, and Søren R. Fauth, lecturer in German, dr.phil. and poet, meet for a conversation about what drives people toward violence, destruction, and murder - and whether evil should be understood as biology, social pattern, or moral collapse. Michael Bach Henriksen, theologian, man of letters, and former cultural editor at Kristeligt Dagblad, moderates the conversation.

The event takes place in the Main Hall and is part of Folkeuniversitetet's knowledge festival Hearts & Minds.
