Steve Poltz

Steve Poltz is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter and guitarist, founder of the indie-rock band the Rugburns and co-creator of Jewel's hit "You Were Meant for Me" (1996, #2 in the USA). He tours constantly and is known for shows driven by personal stories - wildly funny and engaging at the same time.

His latest album, JoyRide, is his 14th solo record. It came about when producer Dex Green called and suggested an informal session in East Nashville - and the result was ten songs recorded without filter and without a plan. The album includes co-writes with Jim Lauderdale and Vince Herman from Leftover Salmon, and Emmylou Harris' rhythm section (Bryan Owings and Chris Donohue) appears on the track "At It Again".
