Pernille Wahlgren and Kasper Birk: Invest Yourself Free

Pernille Wahlgren and Kasper Birk present a lecture based on their book Invest Yourself Free, published by Gyldendal in January 2026. The evening explores the choices that shape your finances and everyday life - not quick gains, but building long-term freedom through structure and a clear plan.

The two share experiences from a life of investing and financial awareness, and address a question many people ask: How do you start investing when the world feels uncertain - and when you might already be in the middle of your life? Drawing on their work with thousands of Danes, they offer their perspective on how to create financial agency without following the market daily or betting on individual stocks.

Pernille Wahlgren is an investor, ethnologist, and author with over 20 years of experience. Kasper Birk is a former business journalist and editor who left his traditional 9-to-5 job in 2021 to live off investing and help others create financial freedom.

The lecture takes place in Lille Sal at Hovedbiblioteket in Aarhus.
