Peter Viggo Jakobsen: War Everywhere
Hovedbiblioteket, Aarhus · 200 kr. · ≈ 27 €
Peter Viggo Jakobsen is a lecturer at the Institute for Strategy at the Royal Danish Defence Academy and professor at the Center for War Studies at the University of Southern Denmark. He researches, teaches, and advises on national and international defence and security policy issues, and is one of the most cited researchers in the field in Danish media.
In this lecture, he presents his analysis of the world's current security policy situation and developments in the coming years - including what it will mean for Denmark, both in terms of security policy and economics.
Central to his analysis is the deteriorating relationship between the great powers, which complicates collective action and opens the door for more actors. This could pave the way for a new Cold War with the USA/NATO on one side and Russia/China on the other - and potentially a dissolution of the global world trade that we have become accustomed to since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
