My Year with Virginia Woolf

Virginia Woolf has a reputation for being difficult to read - but is that actually true? Literature educator Camilla Engkjær Laursen spent 2026 reading through Woolf's entire body of work and describes the journey as a feminist continuing education filled with literary highlights and plenty of laughter. Along the way, she shared her reading experiences on Instagram under the profile @camillalaeser.

The event is part of the cultural festival Bag om Kulturen, where Engkjær Laursen breaks down the reverence for Woolf and draws connections to other authors inspired by her. There will be an opportunity to ask questions, and books will be available for purchase.

The event takes place in Vogn 1 at Godsbanen and is a collaboration between FOF Aarhus and Aarhus Litteraturcenter. Free admission, but registration is required. From September 1st, the full festival programme can be found on the organizers' website.
