Thomas Buttenschøn meets a librarian from Greve Library for a musical conversation about his autobiographical book "Nu skriger jeg i stilhed" ("Now I Scream in Silence") - subtitled "not a pop song". The audience encounters him unfiltered through music, song, and storytelling.

The book is a stark account of losing both parents, growing up as the only dark-skinned child in a white schoolyard, and living with HIV - being the one others would not touch. The themes circle around marginalization, pain, loss, systemic racism, and survival, told in the poetry Buttenschøn is known for: everyday yet profoundly moving.

He reads selected passages from the book and shares the background behind writing it. He also performs songs from his back catalogue.
