With her direct and bold voice, Maren Uthaug has made her mark on Danish literature for years - both through the comic strip "Things I Did" and with novels that explore humanity's darker sides with morbid humour.

Uthaug's authorship revolves around gender, family, and social norms. In her latest trilogy, she imagines a future scenario where the male sex is nearly extinct, and the few remaining are interned as breeding stock - a bleak and colourful literary universe that engages with contemporary gender-critical discussions.

On Wednesday, 13 January 2027, she visits Greve Library, where she talks with literature mediator Victor Ovesen about the third novel in the series, "1 %".
