What Are We Adapting To?

For thirty years, the world has looked to Copenhagen as a model: the bicycles, the harbour baths, the district heating. But how is the city preparing for the next five decades, when the climate is increasingly defined by unpredictability and extreme events rather than stable averages?

Circa Cph and MIP4Adapt invite you to an intimate, participatory conversation bringing together the municipality, professionals, and residents around one fundamental question: what are we actually adapting to, and what does real climate resilience require - not just from architects and planners, but from everyone connected to and dependent on the city's systems?

The event is part of Copenhagen Climate Week, 7-13 September 2026.
