The library's guide takes participants on a roughly 3 km walk around Hald Lake, with pauses along the way for short readings of texts centred on birds. The pace is leisurely, and no preparation is needed - just wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.

The event is free, but places are limited, so advance booking is required. Meeting point: the car park at Hald Hovedgaard.

About the venue: Hovedbiblioteket

Viborg's main library serves as the central library for Viborg Municipality and heads a network of 20 branch libraries. The building, completed in 1989-1991, was designed by architect Thomas Meedom-Bæch and features artwork by Professor Stig Brøgger. Alongside its book and children's collections, it houses a Makerspace with 3D printers, a laser cutter and VR equipment, an events hall called Skakbrættet, and several meeting rooms. Self-service access is available from 07:00 to 22:00 every day.
