Conversation Salon and Author Evening with Caspar Eric

Author Evening with Caspar Eric: Wednesday 28 October 2026, 18:30–21:00, Valby Bibliotek, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

The literature collaboration (g)Udgivet? presents an author evening with Caspar Eric and his new poetry collection Crip - a word borrowed from the English "cripple".

The book explores what it means to be disabled in contemporary Denmark: why it is easier to talk about active euthanasia than about life support, and why mothers repeatedly have to speak up without being heard. At the same time, the poems seek new hope, new desire, and new ways in and out of different bodies.

(g)Udgivet? is a collaboration in Valby between the library, churches, and gymnasiums that brings young and old together around existential questions through conversation, author presentations, and refreshments. The motto is: "Imagine if all of Valby read the same book."

Free entry, but registration is required - find your ticket at gudgivet.dk. Questions can be directed to librarian Mads Kusk at makusk@kk.dk.
