MAKERSPACE: 3D Scanning

Imagine a plastic part for your lawnmower breaks and the replacement is no longer available. There are basically four ways out: buy a new part, find an existing design online and print it, design the part yourself in software like Fusion 360 - or scan it and print it.

This evening focuses on the fourth option. Gribskov Library's Makerspace has acquired a Revopoint POP 3 3D scanner, and the session covers how to scan an object and then refine the scanned model. Once the result is satisfactory, the model can be sent to a 3D printer.
