The climate crisis demands a green transition, but the economic frameworks politicians work within make the necessary changes harder to achieve. What are these frameworks, and how do they affect the possibilities for a transition that is also socially just?

At this wondering hour with Rethinking Economics, we explore how the economy shapes society and our views on climate and transition. Drawing on perspectives from different economic schools and cultural works, we question the ideas about growth, value, and cost-benefit that dominate economic debate.

The aim is for participants to leave with a broader vocabulary for discussing economics and greater motivation to take part in the debate about society's direction. The event concludes with a shared meal.
