Nanna Holm at KFM

Nanna Holm visits BOGhandleren and talks with literary mediator Lise Vandborg about her new novel 'Red Gate'.

The novel takes place at a leisure collective on Langeland in the final years of the Cold War. While the adults party and dream of a new world, three children - Aske, Gry, and Mona - grow up in a daily life marked by unrest and chaos. Decades later, the three still struggle: with love, family, and themselves. When memories from that last summer at Red Gate press in, they find each other again and hold each other up.

The book is about children forced to grow up too soon - and adults who never quite escape childhood.
