Singing Evening at Liselund with Peter Søvad

Mon, 2 Nov 2026 · Liselund Højskole, Slagelse →

Description was written before the event

Liselund Højskole invites you to an Open Folk High School evening featuring a sing-along lecture on Kai Normann Andersen - one of Denmark's great popular composers, known for his music in revue shows of the era with lyrics by Poul Henningsen, Børge Müller, and Ludvig Brandstrup.

The evening presents the story of his life and the unexpected turn music gave it, and throughout the event participants sing a selection of his most famous songs. Folk high school teacher Peter Søvad leads the storytelling, provides musical guidance, and sings along at the piano.

Everyone is welcome, and the price includes coffee during the break.
