Guided Walk in Draved Forest · Løgumkloster
Description was written before the event

Danmarks Naturfredningsforening (Danish Nature Conservation Association) invites you to a guided nature walk in Draved Forest on Wednesday, 30 September, 17:00-19:00. The walk is led by nature manager Martin Brinck from Naturstyrelsen Vadehavet (Danish Nature Agency - Wadden Sea).

Draved Forest and Kongens Moses have recently been designated as a nature national park - a status with real consequences for biodiversity. The forest has been untouched since 2000 and is already in relatively good ecological condition, but the national park designation opens the door to further measures: large grazers such as hardy cattle breeds and horses will create clearings in the dense forest, giving species with limited habitat better living conditions.

In the future, a visitor pavilion and an educational facility will be built, and fencing may be erected around the forest. Whether a ferry service will be established on Dravedvej has not yet been decided. The full project description will soon be open for public consultation.

Meeting point: the car park with entrance from Dravedvej. Remember to wear sturdy footwear and bring a thermos if you wish.
