Tobias Bornakke Bramsen is co-founder of the consulting firm Analyse & Tal, a technology expert, and former chair of the pension fund AkademikerPension. In 2025, he left the consulting industry to become principal of Grundtvigs Højskole.

At Food for Thought, Tobias discusses the background for this decision - and why the folk high school, nearly 250 years after Grundtvig's birth, still offers something special: time and community to explore who we are, how we live together, and how a democratic society is built from the ground up.

The event is organized by Crossing Borders, a non-profit civil society organization that educates and engages young people to become active global citizens.

About the venue: Union

Union is a municipally run cultural centre on Nørre Allé 7 in Nørrebro, housed in a former primary school built in 1857. It opened as a community centre in 1993, was known as VerdensKulturCentret from 2006, and took its current name in 2019. The programme is internationally and interculturally focused, with more than 400 events a year ranging from lectures and exhibitions to festivals and concerts. The concert venue Alice, with a capacity of 250, occupies the hall in the back courtyard.
