Meet a Real Mermaid (ages 4-8)

The performance "Havdis the Mermaid" tells the story of a mermaid fighting to protect her home from pollution and overfishing. Through scenography and live music, the production raises questions about sustainable use of the ocean's resources and our shared responsibility for the marine environment - in line with UN Sustainable Development Goal 14.

The performance runs on Friday, October 9 at 17:00 and 18:00 in Salen, Tingbjerg Library & Cultural Centre, Skolesiden 4, 2700 Brønshøj. It is primarily aimed at children aged 4-8, but there is also a short "adult section" to try. Admission is free, and registration is via Billetter | Brønshøj.

The performance is part of the Teatermagi festival during the autumn half-term (week 42), which runs at cultural centres, libraries and theatres in Østerbro, Vesterbro, Amager, Nørrebro, Vanløse, Valby, Indre By, Brønshøj-Husum, Sydhavnen and Bispebjerg. The festival is supported by the Augustinus Foundation and Copenhagen's Performing Arts Committee.
