Once upon a diva - theatre and music: 26 November – 27 November 2026, Basement, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 80–100 kr.

Once upon a diva is a cross-disciplinary performance where music, theatre and art merge into a colourful, dreamlike universe. Created by dopeDivaZ, Girl Dinner and MiaBella, it tells the story of a loving sisterhood that has built its own utopian world order - a place where care, desire, shame, misunderstandings and big dreams can coexist.

But the dream doesn't hold itself together. The sisters must navigate both their newly invented world and each other, and the question becomes pressing: what happens when utopia no longer feels quite perfect? Can they share the dream, or does it crack when one of the sisters encounters traces of stories from a world they tried to leave behind? As outside energies seep into their porcelain world, the cracks begin to show.

The performance is sensual, somewhat playful and humorous, exploring sisterhood, dreams and the longing for a place where you can be entirely yourself.

Behind the performance stand three creators. dopeDivaZ is a youth-based art and design collective founded by Signe Blume Kristensen, Clara My Højholt and Vera Christiansen, with Nanna Riis Egeskov and Rebecca Thomsen as permanent members of the creative team under the name Crew DivaZ. The collective works across fashion, art, performance, music and sustainability, including performative fashion shows, exhibitions, workshops, set design and music, with a special focus on giving recycled materials new life through art and design. From a small initiative, dopeDivaZ has developed into a platform with exhibitions at venues including ARKEN and Denmark's largest knitting museum, as well as participation in fairs, events and festivals.

Girl Dinner is a performance collective that through body, sound and text invites the audience into a playful, daring and free space - something that both entertains and challenges. Their works draw on themes that reflect and comment on our contemporary world, opening up reflection, conversation and debate.
