Membrane is a collective of five composers and musicians: Michal Biel (PL), Tomás Gubbins (CL), Darius Heid (DE), Jēkabs Rēders (LV), and Michaela Turcerová (SK). They found each other in Copenhagen's experimental music scene and perform both their own compositions and collective improvisations. Drawing on widely different musical backgrounds, they meet in a shared attention to sound, silence, and listening. Listen here: https://asgerthomsen.bandcamp.com/album/rhizom

PRiMi Lab #2 feat. Ayi Solomon
PRiMi Lab invites an established artist to conceive, rehearse, and perform a music programme - for one night only - together with emerging talents from the Copenhagen scene. In this edition, Ayi Solomon is at the centre.

Ayi Solomon was born and raised in Mamprobi, a suburb of Accra, Ghana, and is a self-taught musician. He played with the renowned band Classic Vibes, which toured Africa and in 1982 toured Europe at the annual Afro Festival. After the festival, he travelled with Classic Vibes to Germany on a one-year contract and performed at American and German clubs. He later settled in Copenhagen and has toured the world with artists including Palle Mikkelborg, John Sund, Susi Hyldgaard, Katrine Suwalski Another World, Alain Apaloo's Api Pipo, Moussa Diallo, Pierre Dørge & New Jungle Orchestra, Rasmus Lyberth, Tax Office, Himmerland, Simon Spang Hansen, and Dalia Faitelson's Global Sound with Jerry Bergonzi, Randy Brecker, Adam Nussbaum, Chris Cheek, Lelo Nika, and Thommy Anderson.

PRiMi is supported by the Music Committee and Culture & Leisure Committee of Copenhagen Municipality, the Danish Arts Foundation, Vesterbro Local Committee, and the Danish Artists' Union.
