Steffen Gram: The World According to Gram

On 13 November, Steffen Gram gives a lecture on the world under Trump - two years into his second presidency and shortly after the midterm elections to Congress.

Gram reviews the course of events: Trump was elected on a promise not to go to war, but subsequently attacked Iran, orchestrated the abduction of Maduro in Venezuela, and launched an actual war against Iran in February. Peace in Ukraine failed to materialize, and the promised prosperity went mainly to billionaires - inequality in the USA is greater than ever. The lecture also paints a picture of the direction global society is moving in.

Steffen Gram has been host and editor of DR's The World According to Gram since 2011. He has covered the USA since 1983, was a correspondent in Moscow for four years from 1990 - while the Soviet state collapsed - and subsequently spent 12 years as a USA correspondent.
