Leif Davidsen, known as "Mister Moscow" in the 1980s, is one of Denmark's most widely read authors. At this event, he presents his thriller "Requiem for Rusland" and discusses Russia's development from freedom to dictatorship, the Ukraine war, and the global situation.

The novel follows Tor "Sasja" Arnborg, a highly decorated but war-damaged Danish-Russian elite soldier, who leaves his quiet life in rural Russia to settle an old debt of honor. He has previously worked for the Russian internet troll army and is torn between his loyalty to Russia and growing distrust of the regime following the president's "special military operation" in Ukraine. When the debt-repayment operation fails, he is forced back into service and to Denmark - and must make a life-or-death choice between the two countries.

Leif Davidsen celebrated his 40th anniversary as an author in 2024. He has received numerous awards and has written 15 novels, translated into many languages.
