10 weeks throwing course by Szabina Lócki · Vesterbro Kulturhus, Copenhagen

Pottery throwing - 10-week course with Szabina Lócki: 20 October – 5 January 2026, Vesterbro Kulturhus, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 3200 kr.

This beginner pottery throwing course runs over ten weeks in small groups at Vesterbro Library and Cultural Centre, ensuring plenty of space for individual guidance.

Teaching starts with centering and simple cylinders, gradually progressing to trimming, handles, spouts, and both closed and open forms. After a bisque firing, the pieces are glazed and prepared for the final firing on the course's last afternoon.

The course is for beginners and those with some experience who want to strengthen their throwing technique. No prior knowledge is necessary - and since throwing takes time to learn, it is entirely reasonable to take the course more than once.

The instructor is Szabina Lócki, a ceramicist and teacher based in Copenhagen. You can reach her on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/szabina.locki/

The course fee covers instruction and materials. All participants are expected to contribute to cleaning and tidying on an equal basis with other users.
