bed is a four-piece Japanese band from Tokyo that has made its mark on the international post-punk scene with a blend of techno, pop, punk and classic rock. They are considered one of the best live bands in Japan and deliberately resist easy categorization.

The band formed in summer 2021 when Sinji began gathering musicians: his roommate Une, who had left the J-pop industry, childhood friend Shun-1, and guitarist Joneu, whom Une found online and who brought a background in shoegaze and indie-rock. Their regular club night, bedroom, in Tokyo has already built a devoted following.

Their debut EP 円相 | Enso, coming out later this year, moves between soft rock and techno-anarchism and also includes dance-punk and raw punk. With it, bed aims to reach fans outside Japan. "It's so hard to achieve this position in the industry," says Sinji. "For Japanese artists ... it's completely wild."
