HUSET in Rådhusstræde is Denmark's first cultural house, founded in 1970 when Copenhagen Municipality handed the listed building over to a group of hippies and artists. Today volunteers and cultural partners run a wide programme across several stages - concerts, theatre, cult cinema, literature events, comedy and debates. The house is also home to Bastard Café, Denmark's first board game café, which opened in 2014. Over the years artists such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and Radiohead have performed here.
