Train Travel for Beginners — Aabenraa Bibliotek, Aabenraa

Nanna Hyldgaard Hansen presents a lecture on train travel based on her book "Train Travel for Beginners". The talk offers practical advice for planning rail holidays.

She covers how to find the cheapest tickets, how to spend layover time at major train stations, and what you should know about Interrail and senior rail passes. She also discusses night trains, dining cars, train changes, luggage storage, and how to claim refunds for delays.

The lecture also includes holiday destinations in Denmark's neighbouring countries and further afield - all chosen because they are easy to reach by train, regardless of season.

Nanna Hyldgaard Hansen is an author, lecturer, and journalist with climate and sustainability as the focus of much of her work. She has written four books on the subject.

*The "Student" ticket includes: students, pupils, apprentices, and young people under 30 receiving transfer income.
