You will have the opportunity to try both drawing and painting and discover what works best for you. The course covers acrylic paints, pencils, coloured pencils, and pastels. Instruction includes material selection, composition, colour theory and mixing, underpainting, chiaroscuro (light and shadow), and drawing techniques to create light, shadow, and depth.

The course focuses on still life and/or landscape. You will draw and paint from arranged objects (still life is set up together) and photographs. You are welcome to bring your own photos as well. Although instruction takes place in a group, you work at your own pace and receive individual guidance throughout.

All necessary materials are available in the studio, and a material fee of approximately 300 kr. per person is charged. You are also welcome to bring your own materials. Remember to bring an apron or clothes that can get dirty, as well as food and drinks.
