DKDM Conducting Seminar
Koncertsalen Alsion, Sønderborg · Free
Becoming a conductor requires deep knowledge of music, the ability to communicate ideas, and experience leading a large orchestra - something that cannot be fully learned through theory alone.
Conduct students from the Royal Danish Academy of Music come to Sønderborg with their professor, Giordano Bellincampi, to hold a workshop with the professional musicians of Alsion Theatre. The days conclude with a concert where the audience gets close to the interplay between conductor and orchestra and can follow how the conductor influences, leads, and adjusts.
The programme consists of I. Stravinsky: Dumbarton Oaks, P.I. Tchaikovsky: Serenade for Strings No. 48, and W.A. Mozart: Symphony No. 39.
Free admission.
