From Silence to Rebirth

From Silence to Rebirth - Flemming Nissen: Friday 23 October 2026, 10:00–12:00, Foreningshuset – Sønderborg Kaserne, Sønderborg. Tickets cost 175 kr.

Flemming Nissen has been a familiar voice to people in southern Jutland for decades - first on Radio Als, then on the nationwide Classic FM, and now as the driving force behind Radio Als' revival. In this personal lecture, he tells the story of the local radio station that brought an entire region together, the day the microphones went silent, and the work of bringing the station back on air.

Along the way, he takes the audience behind the scenes of the radio world and shares anecdotes from his many interviews over the years - the funny, the surprising, and the touching moments. He also offers insight into what it takes to create radio that connects with people.

The lecture is filled with local stories and memories from the Sønderborg area.
