The History of Energy

The History of Energy - lecture: Tuesday 10 November 2026, 19:00–20:30, Tingbjerg Bibliotek\Kulturhus, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

Journalists Johanne Pontoppidan Tuxen and Mikkel Vuorela from Dagbladet Information present a live show about humanity's relationship with energy - from ancient farmers harnessing the sun's power, through the coal era and the discovery of oil, to the promises and perils of nuclear energy.

The show is based on their podcast 'Children of the Sun' and the book 'How Humanity Gained Superpowers - The History of Energy'. The two have also published 'Science Retold' and created the podcast series 'Science from the Beginning'.

This event is part of Copenhagen Libraries' festival 'Wild About Science', running through October and November at municipal libraries with scientific lectures and talks for adults.

Tuesday, 10 November, 19:00-20:30 in the hall. Free entry, but registration via Billetto is required.
