Description was written before the event

The performance "Havdis the Mermaid" tells the story of a mermaid fighting to protect her home from pollution and overfishing - raising questions about sustainable use of the ocean's resources. The show is designed for children aged 4-8 (though there is one "adult tail" to try) and is part of the Teatermagi festival during the autumn break, running in week 42 at cultural centres, libraries and theatres across Copenhagen.

The performance is linked to UN Sustainable Development Goal 14 on life below water. The festival is supported by the Augustinus Foundation and Copenhagen's Performing Arts Committee.
