The Happy Lion (ages 2-5) / Teatermagi Vesterbro

The Happy Lion - free children's theatre: Thursday 15 October 2026, 10:00–11:00, 3. sal, Haraldssalen, Copenhagen. Admission is free.

The Happy Lion tells the story of venturing out into the world alone for the first time - the big upheaval when everything outside turns out to be different from home. And it's about friendship. The performance is based on the book by Louise Fatio and Roger Duvoisin from 1954, and is performed by Sif Jessen Hymøller from Teater Håndholdt.

The performance takes place on Thursday, October 15 at 10:00, lasts 30 minutes, and is free. It is aimed at children aged 2-5 and takes place at Vesterbro Library and Cultural Centre.

The performance is part of the Teatermagi festival during the autumn break (week 42), which brings performing arts to cultural centres, libraries, and theatres in Østerbro, Vesterbro, Amager, Nørrebro, Vanløse, Valby, Indre By, Brønshøj-Husum, Sydhavnen, and Bispebjerg. The festival is supported by the Augustinus Foundation and Copenhagen's Performing Arts Committee. The full festival programme can be found at https://brugbyen.kk.dk/det-sker/teatermagi
