Salon Evening with Marie Foegh and Julie Gerdes: Monday 19 October 2026, 17:30–23:59, Granola, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 450 kr.
At this salon evening at Granola, Marie Foegh and Julie Gerdes meet for a conversation about women, the body, working life, health, and the structures that shape our lives.
Marie Foegh is a specialist in gynaecology and obstetrics, researcher, and internationally recognized expert in hormones and women's health. For many years she has worked with female sex hormones, hormonal changes, and menopause - through research, teaching, and clinical practice. She is currently publishing the book Oestrogen, which examines what happens in the female body when oestrogen levels drop, focusing on menopause, hormone treatment, and the historical tendency to overlook women's symptoms and health.
Julie Gerdes is a partner at EY and Head of People Sustainability & Employment Law with over 25 years of experience in employment law, HR, and People & Culture. She is a prominent voice in debates about working life, leadership, diversity, and inclusion, writes a monthly column in Børsen, and has an academic background in literary history and philosophy. In her work she has dealt with neurodiversity and how workplaces can be designed so that more diverse people thrive and contribute.
The conversation centres on women's lives, health, and working life - on bodily changes, the expectations and structures we encounter, and what happens when we begin to question norms we otherwise take for granted.
The evening begins with dinner: appetizers are served from 6 p.m., and dinner continues until around 8 p.m., after which the conversation takes over. The ticket includes a 3-course menu and unlimited water - you can choose between pescatarian and vegetarian menus. Other beverages are purchased at the bar.
