Christmas in Sokkelund

Sokkelund Sangkor and the jazz duo Mads Granum and Thomas Fonnesbæk present a Christmas concert at Garnisonskirken in Copenhagen on Sunday, 6 December 2026 at 20:00. The concert blends Bach chorales, Danish hymns, and jazz arrangements of familiar Christmas songs, structured around Luke's Christmas Gospel - one of two Danish concert dates for the choir this December. Garnisonskirken, a Baroque church built in 1706 in central Copenhagen, was originally constructed for the military garrison and today serves as a parish church hosting services, concerts, and religious ceremonies. The church's acoustics and interior provide the setting for this meeting of classical choral music and jazz. Tickets cost 100-180 kr.
