Finissage: My Beautiful Skin

The exhibition 'My Beautiful Skin' describes skin conditions using poetic language such as 'speckled mosaic', 'thousand islands' and 'small plateaus' - a deliberate reframing of the language normally used about visible skin conditions. The aim is to reduce stigma and show people as they are: with spots, marks and blemishes.

The exhibition was developed by doctor Charlotte Näslund Koch and nurse Anna Sophie Belling Krontoft in collaboration with photographer Marie Hald and doctor Jesper Elberling. It is a travelling exhibition that has visited other folk high schools before Johan Borups Højskole and will move on after the finissage.

The finissage takes place on 28 September from 16:00 to 17:00. You can view the exhibition and enjoy a drink at the bar - it is free but requires advance registration.
