BIBLIOTEKET offers an introductory course in copper engraving from September 25-27 - a classical graphic technique where motifs are created on copper plates and printed on paper. The course provides a solid foundation in line etching as well as hard and soft ground techniques.

Instructor Heidi Borg guides participants through the central processes: plate preparation, chemistry and etching, printing presses, printing ink, and paper.

The course takes place in the Graphics Workshop on the 2nd floor of BIBLIOTEKET, Rentemestervej, Copenhagen. Price: 1,400 kr. Registration and more information at billetto.dk.

BIBLIOTEKET on Rentemestervej opened in 2011 as Denmark's first fully integrated library and cultural centre. Designed by COBE, Transform and Brd. Andersen, the building is instantly recognisable by its four offset golden boxes, shaped like a stack of books - a landmark in the Nordvest district. Under one roof it brings together children's, youth and adult libraries, creative workshops, a flexible theatre hall, citizens' services and a café.
