Copenhagen Libraries celebrate the joy of writing with a full day at the Main Library's Great Stage, 4th floor. Each programme item requires a separate ticket - if you want to attend everything, you'll need three tickets in total.
11:00-12:15: Conversation on AI in Literature and Human Creativity
Can artificial intelligence write literature - not just words, but actual literature? Sanne Caft, head of Copenhagen Main Library, and Jacob Søndergaard, managing director of Gutkind publishing, discuss artificial intelligence and the future of literature. Moderator: Marie Høst.
13:00-14:00: My Writing Workshop - with Stine Pilgaard
Stine Pilgaard offers insight into her work and books: where ideas come from, how to find your voice, and what lies behind the texts of doubt, habits and working methods. In conversation with culture journalist Jeppe Bangsgaard.
14:15-14:45: Mini Writing Workshop
A short and informal workshop where the Main Library's literature facilitator and writing club coordinator Poul-Louis Bøving Larsen invites you to put words on paper. No finished idea necessary - just the desire to try.
14:50-15:45: Open Mic
The day ends with Open Mic, where writers take the stage and read from their own texts. Registration for readings happens on the day on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event is free entry with a ticket and takes place at LIVE, Copenhagen Main Library, 4th floor, Great Stage. Note that the view of the stage is limited from certain seats. Between programme items you can learn about the Libraries' writing offerings and explore the book collection.
The stage area on the 4th floor is reached from the Central Hall entrance from Krystalgade via lift (to the right of the entrance), stairs in the same place, or escalators to the 3rd floor and from there a staircase to the right up to the 4th floor.
