Most of us dismiss the idea of hearing problems and move on. But when we finally take action, years have passed, and far too many hearing aids end up in a drawer.

Research today shows a clear link between untreated hearing loss and dementia, and that untreated hearing loss has major consequences for quality of life. In the lecture "We Hear with Our Brain", Lone Percy-Smith and Tanja Pihl Sandager focus on hearing and why it is so crucial for brain function and our quality of life.

Lone Percy-Smith is a professor and PhD audiologist. Tanja Pihl Sandager is a specialist in knowledge and health communication.
