Frontstage Magazine has described Nicklas Sahl as "one of the most important voices on the European singer-songwriter scene". His latest album 'nicklas' explores the courage to accept yourself - strengths and weaknesses together - and now he takes the album on a solo tour, with only the songs and the stories behind them.
About the tour, he explains: "I can see it myself: 'Nicklas Sahl on solo tour with an album named after himself'. It's not far from that headline to building an altar for myself in the backyard. But self-importance is not the goal - even though it may be one of the means. My real goal is the opposite: self-forgetfulness for everyone for one evening. Just as I write and perform my songs to get some relief from my own many thoughts, my hope is that the audience and I together can set aside our worries for a while. I bring the stories and melodies, and if all goes well, we all forget ourselves and let the music and togetherness take over."
Nicklas Sahl has four albums behind him - Planets, Unsolvable, God Save the Dream and nicklas - and is known for songs such as New Eyes, Planets and Four Walls.
