New Year's Gala Concert

New Year's Gala Concert - Susanna Andersson: Thursday 21 January 2027, 19:30–20:30, Hadsten Bibliotek, Hadsten. Tickets cost 150 kr.

The New Year's concert in Hadsten is far from quiet and solemn. Ten brass players and percussionists from the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra perform alongside soprano Susanna Andersson, with a programme built around lively music and good humour.

The repertoire blends familiar melodies, rousing rhythms, and a few musical surprises. There is room for opera's grand drama and musical theatre's charm, as well as more spirited numbers. The musicians play with virtuosity and a twinkle in their eye.

Brass can do more than blare. The instruments can sound soft and warm and play with melodies, and together with the singing voice, both the grand and the subtle find their place.

Susanna Andersson, soprano
Jeroen Berwaerts, trumpet
