Niels-Peter Henriksen has created a new stand-up special about what comes after an accident that makes no sense.

On September 25, 2024, his parents and their friends were hit by a drug-impaired driver. The accident claimed three lives, made headlines across the country's news media, and turned his entire world upside down - an experience few would associate with something you can make jokes about.

But that is exactly what the 52-year-old comedian does. In The Next in Line, he takes the audience into the darkness and finds laughter where you least expect it. The show is an honest and personal story about standing in the middle of tragedy and discovering that laughter is still there. As Niels-Peter puts it: "It was harder for me to live through than it will be for you to listen to."

Niels-Peter Henriksen has been a prominent voice in Danish stand-up since 1997, known as a fearless "no bullshit" comedian who uses self-irony and provocation to expose the hypocrisy of everyday life. The show is performed in Lille Sal.
