A parent evening at Copenhagen's Main Library focusing on giftedness in children: what it is, how parents can understand their gifted child, and what to be aware of.

Gifted children often think in multiple solutions simultaneously, connect knowledge across disciplines, and are creative problem-solvers. They can immerse themselves intensely in what captures their interest, driven by strong inner motivation. At the same time, many struggle with asynchronous development and are misunderstood by their surroundings, which can lead to worry, distress, and a sense of being different.

These children differ from the average as much as children with cognitive disabilities, and therefore need adults who understand them and can provide security and help with self-regulation.
