Niels Krause-Kjær / Ude for uden

Author Niels Krause-Kjær presents his novel "Ude for uden" - a personal account of Denmark in a time of transition, which won the Readers' Book Prize in 2026. The novel is fiction but draws on a travel journal kept by Krause-Kjær's father and his folk high school friends over half a century. It explores a cultural revolution that dismantled rural culture, elevated the city, and left the provinces behind in just two generations.

The lecture is held in collaboration with the ELRO Foundation as part of ELRO Days 2026.

Tickets are sold at advance price until 1 hour before the start. An order fee of 10 kr. is added regardless of the number of tickets - the fee is not refunded in case of cancellation. Young people under 22 can purchase a discounted ticket (bring ID), and a companion ticket is issued upon presentation of a valid companion card issued by Danish Disability Organizations.
