Into the Crisis Control Room - Meet Frank Jensen (former PET)
Hovedbiblioteket, Aarhus · Free
Into the Crisis Control Room with Frank Jensen: Wednesday 14 October 2026, 13:00–14:30, Hovedbiblioteket, Aarhus. Admission is free.
Frank Jensen shares personal accounts and concrete experiences from standing in the midst of some of Denmark's greatest crises. What dilemmas arise when crisis strikes? How are decisions made when time is short, information incomplete, and consequences can be severe - and what do you do when there is no manual?\n\nThe conversation offers insight into what happens behind the scenes when society comes under pressure, and how people in positions of responsibility try to gain control, make the right decisions, and guide Denmark safely through the crisis.\n\nFrank Jensen has a long career in the police and PET, including roles as intelligence chief, counterterrorism chief, and operational chief from 2007 to 2021. As chief inspector in the National Police, he led the Danish response after the tsunami in Southeast Asia, where 46 Danes lost their lives. Later he became operational chief in PET following the Muhammad crisis, when Islamist terror threats against Denmark escalated significantly. In that role, he helped prevent several serious terror attacks on Danish targets, including the case of the one-legged bomber, the Glasvej case, and the case of four terrorists who planned an attack on Jyllands-Posten to kill a large number of staff. His career has given him firsthand experience with crisis management, intelligence, counterterrorism, and operational leadership - often in situations where decisions had to be made quickly and where the consequences were a matter of life and death.\n\nThe event is free, but you can book a free ticket via the link if you want to secure a seat. Throughout the day the library is filled with lectures, activities, and conversations about preparedness. Some of the activities require a free ticket - the programme is published on an ongoing basis on aakb.dk and on Facebook.\n\nMore info about Dokk1, accessibility for persons
